The State of Jammu and Kashmir is situated in a remote and backward corner of India, It was among the pioneers, barring a few in the Southern and the Western India,like Hyderabad,Mysore,Travancore and Baroda in princely India in introducing democratic institutions, legislatures, first,with elected members and then,with an elected majority It is a general impression that the monarchy and the democracy are unparallel things and hence cannot proceed together..
