Anatomical dissection of the wrist and hand

The wrist is a transition zone between the hand and the forearm. It participates in the fine orientation of the hand, after the positioning of the shoulder and the elbow, as well as in its various mobilities.We performed a series of dissections of 28 embalmed and fresh hands in search of anatomical elements, their structures and their variations.Dissection offers a direct experience of anatomy and should be taught with the same rigour as anatomy.
