Anthropometric characteristics in hand-played sports

This book should serve to all people involved in sports, schools of basketball, handball and volleyball, sports federations and especially coaches of basketball handball and volleyball. For those who the challenge is clear, they have to develop speciall skills that have effect on important anthropometric parameters for their discipline. Special attention should be given to anthropometric measues especially in the orientation and and youth selection phases of the youth, prioritising those parameters that are important in achieving success in the specific sport. The ability to move with the ball, ability to change the turning speed, ability to aim the scoring precision and the ability to move around a triangle scheme (defensive move) are a very important parameters that have to be considered when testing players. The evolution of standard tests that simulate game situations together with the evaluation of specific skills of physical preparedness and anthropometric characteristics are decisive for the future of one team.
