This book emphasis on the ecological concern and environmental awareness for green manufacturing, which is the basic need in polymers. This requirement can be achieved upto certain extent with the manufacturing of thermosetting composite using plant fiber as a reinforcing agent. In the present work a banana fiber reinforced composite material were developed, using thermosets like epoxy & unsaturated polyester. The purpose of this work was to produce low cost, environment friendly thermosetting composite which found wide applications in Automobile, Aerospace and Defence industry. Beside the product cost, functionality and reliability, the element of "sustainability", "eco-friendly" and "green material" had become a major requirement in new products designing

Author has obtained his PhD in Chemical Technology from Laxminarayan Institute of Technology, Nagpur (India)& Master Degree in Plastics & Polymer Engineering from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai (India). He has 25 years teaching experience & published over 35 articles in National & International reputed journals & conferences.
