Childhood Immunization Programs: Why The Dropouts?
Details
Vaccination is a proven tool in preventing and eradicating communicable diseases, but a considerable proportion of childhood morbidity and mortality in Ghana is due to vaccine preventable diseases. Immunization coverage in many parts of the country remains low despite the efforts by governments, health service providers, and other major stakeholders to improve the services. In this era of Evidence for Action, "Childhood Immunizations: Why the Dropouts?" provides comprehensive results on the factors influencing high immunization dropout rate (BCG-Measles) among children aged 0 to 59 months in the Wa Municipality of the Upper West Region of Ghana. It results from cutting-edge rigorous research and bothers considerably on policy reconstruction and automation of our monitoring and evaluation systems.
