Comparison of Retention Strength and Stress Distribution on Tooth

Aims of the study: Is to evaluate the retention fatigue strength, stress distributions and alveolar bone flexing of different attachment systems and support designs of overdenture prosthesis. Four overdenture support designs with flexible acrylic attachments improved the retention force and reduced the fatigue retention and flexible acrylic attachments offer a wide range of retention forces. Furthermore, free standing mini dental implants with flexible acrylic attachment systems supporting overdenture reduced stresses and flexing in the supporting alveolar bone.

Assistant Professor Dr. Abdalbasit A. Fatihallah graduated from the College of Dentistry, University of Baghdad in 2000. He got his Master degree in prosthodontics in 2003 and doctoral degree in prosthodontics and dental implantology in 2012. He is working now in the College of Dentistry, University of Baghdad.
