Hajime Sorayama ist ein weltweit bekannter Illustrator für seine detailgetreuen, erotischen Airbrush-Darstellungen von Frauen und weiblichen Robotern. Er entwarf die weibliche Borg Romulan für die Star Trek-Serie, lieferte Kunst für Terminator, entwarf die erste Generation von Sony AIBO Roboter-Haustieren und war einer von 25 japanischen Künstlern, die von Nike beauftragt wurden, eine Hommage an den White Dunk des Unternehmens zu schaffen. Seine Kunst wurde in Penthouse und Playboy gezeigt und befindet sich in den ständigen Sammlungen des MOMA und der Smithsonian Institution.
