Design and Development of Appropriate Tyre Sandal Shoe.

Tyre sandal producers in the area using traditional way manual shoe making and uses small nail or tacks for tyre sandal shoe upper and sole attachment, which has a disadvantage on users foot. In order to overcome this problem it is required to train the producers. Bahir Dar Poly technical College, Ethiopian Institute of Textile and Fashion Technology ans SME in the area need to give training on shoe making for the producers. In the target area there is lack of research work have been done before and further studies are required to increase the value of waste tire and raw hide for footwear and Leather goods products. Waste tyres and Raw hide are durable and cheaper material. It is recommended that small scale Industries to use these materials to produce Footwear and Leather Products.
