This book is about the development of a tool using Adobe Flex. This desktop application provides user with multiple functionalities, it contains genes involved in abiotic stress especially in condition of drought in case of Rice (oryza sativa). User can manipulate or perform different functions on fasta sequences of all those genes available in catalog like domain identification in different genes or finding homologous sequences etc. This tool will be essential for scientist working on plants especially on rice and for those new to the field , as well as experienced researchers. This book also give deep insight into methodology of how to develop any kind of tool in Adobe Flex. Write up of this book and development of this tool was completed with the help of my co-worker Rana Rehan Khalid who is a student of Master in Bioinfomratics at Government College University Faisalabad, Pakistan.

Graduated as a Computer Engineer from National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan in 2010. This research based project was my final year project which I completed with Abdul Haseeb and Muhammad Bilal Bhatti. Since graduating, I have been doing research in the field of Artificial Intelligence(AI) and also plan to do Masters in AI.
