Diabetes and its treatment

Diabetes is considered one of the metabolic disease syndrome that affects millions of people all over the world, children, and adults due to psychological, economic stress, and genetic predisposition. Diabetes is of two types: type 1 diabetes, which depends on insulin and affects children often and occurs due to a deficiency in the secretion of the hormone insulin due to the destruction of beta cells, which secretes insulin in the pancreas and the second type is non-insulin-dependent, which affects the elderly due to the resistance of body cells Insulin or partial breakdown of beta cells, and there are other types of diabetes that may occur during pregnancy or when using some medicines are temporary and disappear when the cause is gone.
