Dietary Protein Requirements of the New Zealand Black-footed Abalone

New Zealand black-footed abalone (Haliotis iris) have been culture in land-base farms for near thirty years. However, the nutrition requirement of this species has not been diescussed yet. This book is the first book that discussed different protein species and different level of dietary protein in artificial feeds of New Zealand black-footed abalone (Haliotis iris). This book also discussed the relationship of envirement temperature and dietary protein requirements. The nutrient of microalgae that fed by juvenile abalone also be discussed.This is a book which benifits to marine scientist or aquacultural farmers.

(David Tung) was born at 1971 in Taipei, Taiwan. I was educated in Taiwan and obtained master and doctoral degree at New Zealand. My personal specialty is aquaculture larval rearing. I have been consultants of aquaculture farms and public aquarium around Taiwan, China and New Zealand. I now work in ICOB, Academia Sinica as post-doctoral researcher.
