Dresden in One Day

Dresden, for many centuries capital city of the electors and kings of Saxony, and today capital of the Free State of Saxony, has earned its byname of Florence on the Elbe for a myriad of good reasons. Year by year, millions of tourists from all corners of the world are enchanted by the unique combination of outstanding Baroque buildings and world-famous art collections, embedded in the gentle landscape of the River Elbe valley. Devastated at the end of the Second World War, the wonderful city of Dresden has been virtually reborn in the last decades.
