Edible and Medicinal plants in Chilga District, Northwestern Ethiopia

The book covers two parts underutilized edible and medicinal plants in Chilga district, Northwestern Ethiopia. Detailed study was conducted about the diversity and role of edible and medicinal plants in Chilga district. In the edible part diversity of underutilized edible plants, their ecological distribution and habitat were included. In addition, it also comprises mode of utilization and preparation method of these identified underutilized edible plant species. The medicinal plants on the other hand, include diversity of medicinal plants in different agro-ecology and habitat, their distribution, their role for treatment of ailments and application method. The book also incorporate the traditional management practices and threats of medicinal and edible plants in Chilga District, Ethiopia.

Autorentext

The author was born in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia, in 1987. He is lecturer in Gondar University in Natural Resource Management department. He has B.Sc in natural Resource Management and M.SC in Agroforestry and Soil Maanagement.
