The role of underlying soil is very important in structures stability. Irrespective of Soil Type the construction should be safe and stable. One such unpredictable soil which changes with weather condition to very high extend is Black Cotton Soil (BCS). The book is about the process for analysis and design of substructure footing lying on Black Cotton Soil and stability is checked for all weather conditions. It helps the designer or reader to understand that which weather proves to be worst for substructure lying over BCS and thus helps to consider design loads for safe structural design.
