Fachsprachen in der weltweiten Kommunikation / Specialized Language in Global Communication

Die internationalen Aspekte von Fachsprachen werden besonders seit der EU-Erweiterung zunehmend wichtiger. Gründe dafür sind die Wirtschaftsglobalisierung und die Möglichkeiten der Texttransformationen durch Computer, also deren Übersetzung und mehrsprachige Recherchierbarkeit. Damit rückt das Lernen von Fachsprachen in den Fokus von Ausbildung und beruflicher Kompetenz. Das Buch vermittelt die aktuelle Diskussion in diesem Gebiet. Es enthält Beiträge auf Englisch, Deutsch, Französisch und Italienisch.
International aspects of languages for specialized purpose (LSP) are increasingly important in education and as job skills. Computerization of language communication, such as machine translation and information retrieval requires specific research and teaching of LSP. This volume demonstrates the international scientific discussion in this field. It contains contributions in English, German, French, and Italian.

Walther von Hahn ist Professor für Informatik und Linguistik mit Schwerpunkt Fachsprachen und Sprachverarbeitung in Hamburg.
Cristina Vertan hat zahlreiche Publikationen im Bereich Maschinelle Übersetzung und Multilinguale Anwendungen vorgelegt und mehrere Projekte in diesem Gebiet geleitet.
Walther von Hahn is full professor of Computer Science and German Linguistics with specialization in LSP (language for specialized purposes) and computational linguistics.
Cristina Vertan published a large number of papers in Machine Translation and Multilingual Applications and conducted several projects in this field.
