Feruloyl esterases acting on plant cell wall polymers represent key tools for degradation of plant cell wall. It represents a diverse group of hydrolases catalyzing the cleavage and formation of ester bonds between plant cell wall polysaccharide and phenolic acid. They are widely distributed in plants and microorganisms. Currently Dr. Ahmed Fazary working in National Taiwan University, Taiwan. He received his B.Sc. in Chemistry on 2000 and M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry on 2004 from Cairo University, Egypt. Dr Fazary obtained PhD. from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taiwan on 2009 in Applied Chemistry.
