G.G. Kariuki: A Historical Potrait of A Kenyan Politician

Godfrey Gitahi Kariuki, popularly known as G.G., is one of the longest serving political leaders in Kenya s post-independence history. This is a volume of a peasant boy who contributed to Kenya s struggle for independence. G.G. Kariuki entered politics since 1959 to date. He has risen in the political arena and equally fell. . He is credited for diverse development of various projects in Laikipia District, such as water, electricity, roads, Market stall. One of the major achievement was the provision of Land. G.G. Kariuki has recently disclosed that MKenya Solidarity Movement will field a presidential candidate in the 2012 general elections. He added that if nominated by the party members, he was willing to vie for the top most seat saying he had what it takes to be the next president. However, the party, Mkenya Solidarity, still remains unknown to the Kenyan masses. His, is the history of a colonial heritage, compulsion to rebel, interpretation of reality, treachery and disillusionment.
