This volume covers what is currently known about the development of hearing and the auditory system in humans. It provides an important and up-to-date reference and informs fresh notions about hearing in children and the remediation of their hearing loss.

This volume will provide an important contemporary reference on hearing development and will lead to new ways of thinking about hearing in children and about remediation for children with hearing loss.
