Gustave Nicolas Fischer war zuerst als Psychologe, Berater und Leiter der Abteilung für Sozialwissenschaften in einem regionalen Unternehmen in Straßburg tätig. Er setzt nun seine Karriere durch die Integration von Wissenschaft, zunächst als außerordentlicher Professor für Sozialpsychologie an der Universität von Lausanne, dann als Professor für Sozialpsychologie an der Universität Metz fort.
