Intrapreneurship is a developing field. This book offers a handful of puzzles in the development of intrapreneurship from an internal resource perspective. It presents a framework for understanding how intrapreneurship relates to the overall concept of corporate entrepreneurship and exopreneurship. Further it offers four organisational perspectives: corporate venturing, internal resources, internationalisation, and external networks; of which three provides intrapreneurial opportunities. Other puzzles focus on the innovative spirit and driving forces of intrapreneurship, and intrapreneurial enablers such as culture, communication and organizational processes. The book also focuses on the increasing importance of knowledge as the key to competitive advantage and how it poses new challenges for managers. Knowledge might be the most critical resources in relation to intrapreneurship and it is suggested how this resource should be management based on different approaches depending on the character of the value creating factors.
Autorentext
Karina Skovvang Christensen, MSc (econ.), PhD is Associate Professor at the School of Economics and Management, Aarhus University, Denmark. Her primary research and teaching interest are in organizational behavior, leadership, and knowledge and innovation management. She has published several books and articles in both Danish and English.
