Language and Cultural Identity

Although English is the global language, some monolingual societies have still existed where their official languages are not English. Monolingual societies have overt and covert reasons for not adopting English as their official or second language. This book aimed to cover a study conducted to reveal the resistance and inner layers of learning English as a foreign language (EFL) in Iran as a monolingual society.
