Modern Aspects in Post-Harvest Pathology of Mango

Present book deals with study of spongy tissue and fungal diseases viz. anthracnose, stem end rot, Rhizopus rot, Aspergillus niger rot, Penicillium rot ,Alternaria rot, Aspergillus fumigatus rot and A. flavus rot. This book contains novel aspect that is application of X-ray scaning non-destructive technology for detection of spongy tissue and fungal diseases. Besides that present book covers information about production of cellulase and pectinase production by post-harvest fungi, biochemical changes in mango pulp due to post- harvest fungi,biocontrol of post-harvest fungal diseasess and other post-harvest pathological aspects. The book wil be useful to researchers, plant pathologist and horticulturist.

Dr. Dhondiram P. Gadgile is currently working as Assistant Professor at Madhavrao Patil College, Palam (M.S.), India. He obtained his Ph.D.degree from Dr. B. A. M. University, Aurangabad, India.He has authored more than 37 research articles in various National and International Journals. He earned Gold Medal in M. Sc. Botany.
