Non-invasive device:
Details
The sensor network technology became important in healthcare as a result of the aging population and the tendency to acquire chronic disease, such as heart attack and high blood pressure amongst the elderly. The elderly don't have to show up to the hospital for the oxygen concentration and pulse check. It can be done while they are working through wearing the sensors device. A sensor network system that has the capability to monitor physiological sign such as SpO2 (Saturation of Arterial Oxygen) and heart beat rate in real-time from the human s body is highlighted in this study.A prototype sensor network is developed. This includes hardware (sensor node consists of a microcontroller PIC 18F series, external flash memory, and transceiver unit.) Sensor node has been run under Assembly Language. The sensor is cooperated into a wearable body sensor network which is small in size and easy to use. It allows a non invasive, real time method to provide information regarding the health of the body. Either a personal computer or LCD display is used to test the device. This research enables a more efficient and economical means for managing the healthcare of the population.
