Othmane Belfaa (born October 18, 1961) is a retired Algerian athlete who competed in the high jump. His personal best is 2.28m (it was a ntional record at that time) achieved in Amman in 1983. He finished 3rd at the 1985 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Athletics in Paris with a jump of 2.27m. He finished also 6th at the 1992 World Cup in Athletics in La Habana. The high jump is a track and field athletics event in which competitors must jump over a horizontal bar placed at measured heights without the aid of certain devices in its modern most practiced format; auxiliary weights and mounds have been used for assistance; rules have changed over the years.
