Permeabilty of MMA through different types of gloves: An insight

METHYL METHACRYLATE (MMA) has a wide variety of dental and medical applications. Prosthodontists, orthodontists, general dentists, dental hygienists, dental lab technicians, as well as orthopaedic surgeons, come in direct contact with MMA. People exposed to MMA occasionally suffer hypersensitivity, local neurological symptoms, irritation and local dermatological reactions. Gloves are used in the field of healthcare as a protective barrier to prevent physical exposure to a wide variety of chemicals. This book tries to verify the efficacy of various types of gloves as a barrier to the penetration of MMA.
