Query Optimization

The Query Optimization for Data Warehouse Applications book provides novel solutions to support real time data and overcome query latency time. The book reviews the current state-of-art in query optimization literature, and proposes two query optimization techniques. The first optimization technique is a software optimization model that is based on storing and cachig query views. The second is a VLSI hardware solution which is based on neural networks.This book is fruitful for database, data warehouse, and optimization practitioners and researchers.

Haddara is a Research Fellow at the Centre of Enterprise Systems, university of Agder (UiA), Norway. He has several publications and book chapters in the areas of ERP, research methods, BI, OSS, and query optimization techniques. He serves as a reviewer for several top IS conferences, and as a bulletin director for the AIS Egyptian chapter.
