Selwyn Eric Belsham is a New Zealand former rugby league player who represented his country in the 1957 World Cup. His position of preference was at Halfback. His brother Vic was also a New Zealand Kiwis representative. Vic later became a referee, controlling his brother's team in the 1957 World Cup. An Auckland representative, Belsham represented the New Zealand Kiwis between 1955 and 1957. The Auckland rugby league team is the team which traditionally represents all of the clubs which play in the Auckland Rugby League competition. The Auckland Rugby League team has traditionally been a powerhouse of New Zealand domestic rugby league. As well as a senior men's team there are also Auckland representative teams throughout the various age groups such as under 15s, under 17s, under 19s and under 21s.
