Sorghum farming and its application in animal and poultry nutrition

Sorghum is a genus of flowering plants in the grass family Poaceae. Seventeen of the 25 species are native to Australia, with the range of some extending to Africa, Asia, Mesoamerica, and certain islands in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. It is considered as an often cross-pollinated species, with out-crossing up to 6 percentage depending on the genotype and growing conditions.The sorghum trade is completely deregulated and the sorghum produced is used almost exclusively for feed, especially cattle, pigs and poultry industries.
