Details

This book deals with a study that was designed to
determine if a significant difference exist between
the academic achievement of special education
students in inclusive and non-inclusive settings.
Specifically, the book covers information about
whether the placement of special educations students
affects student s performance in the areas of
reading comprehension, reading vocabulary, total
reading, mathematical concepts, applications and
total mathematics on norm-referenced tests. An Ex-
Post Facto research design was used to gather and
analyze data. The results derived from the study
revealed that there was a significant difference
between placement and students performance in the
areas of reading comprehension, reading vocabulary,
total reading, mathematical concepts, applications
and total mathematics on norm-referenced tests. The
implications for this study are valuable in that it
raises the question of placement of students and
their success as it relates to reading and
mathematics. It serves as a starting point for
having real conversations towards looking at the
real true benefits of what it means to leave "No
Child Behind".
