Temporary anchorage devices

This book make an attempt to discuss biological aspects, classification, design, implant placement, clinical applications, and complications of recent advances regarding the temporary anchorage devices will be discussed. A temporary anchorage device (TAD) is a device that is temporarily fixed to the bone for the purpose ofenhancing orthodontic anchorage either by supporting the teeth of the reactive unit or by obviating the need for the reactive unit altogether, and which is subsequently removed after use.
