Tense, Aspect and Modality Systems in Kihavu, a Minimalist Perspective

The study unfolds pure Bantu linguistic system with penetrating insight intact, delivered in clear, accessible, reader-friendly academic style, with an aim of shedding some light on what the basic building blocks of the verbal expressions are and what semantic or syntactic relationships hold between them. It enables the reader to fly into the eternal unseen linguistic realms where the correlation of the morphological structure of the verbal system with the underlying temporal, aspectual and modal structures becomes far more profound than what the mind could comprehend before. It looks as if a new meaning has been imparted to all that has been understood or comprehended in the past. Everything becomes thoroughly and genuinely known as our mind sets eyes on it.

Dr Pascal Gahutu was born on 1st January 1965 at Nyange (Rwandäs Western Province). He did his Primary Education at Nyamavugo & Nyamasheke before moving to Save High School. After his graduation from the National University of Rwanda, he went on to Nairobi for his Master s and PhD Courses. He is the Founder of Rusizi International University.
