The Female Feticide

Female feticide is one of the extreme manifestations of violence against women. Unfortunately this practice exists in all societies of the world. Female fetuses are selectively aborted after pre-natal sex determination by scientific and non-scientific methods. Why do parents practice such a heinous act? Why do female have lower status in societies. Why are we failing in achieving gender equality? What is the role of religion and belief system? Is it a collective responsibility of whole humanity to protect this wonderful being? This book reflects the author s perceptions regarding the agony faced by the suffering women, their undervalued status, humiliation, the dangerous imbalance of sex ratio. The need of hour is to change the mindset of people to save and protect the strength of humanity existing on Earth as a girl child.
