High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Ujjini is a village in the southern state of Karnataka, India. It is located in the Kudligi taluk of Bellary district in Karnataka. There is a proverb used in this part of the world called "Ujjini Olage nodu, Hampi Orage Nodu" (It's good to watch Ujjini inside and Hampi outside"). There is a unique festivity celebrated in Ujjini called "Shikara Thailabhisheka". This occurs every year in April or May. There is a tradition to first offer the oil from germali family to the Shikara(Tower). Shikara is believed to have all existing gods and goddesses in the world. So once in a year the shikara thailabhisheka is offered by many pilgrims from different parts of the country. The Cart festival is celebrated before a day of this Thailabhisheka. The CART starts from Paadagatte [a mantap built for a foot step of sri marula siddeshwara swamy) and goes till bannimara and return to the main road of Ujjini and parked in front of panchayath office for a few days. Every year thousands of devotees will witness this Cart festival and take the blessings of Sri Sri Sri Marulasidda rajadeshi kendra shivacharya mahaswamigalu.
