Mary Bi Suh Atanga was born in Mankanikong Bafut in the Bamenda area of Cameroon. She attended primary, secondary and high school in Wum. Was admitted after a competitive entrance examination into training school for health personnel Bamenda in 1983. After completion she work in the Regional hospital for 4 years and proceeded to the Universities.
