Agro-industry co-products in ruminant feed

Agro-industry co-products have potential for use in ruminant diets. The biodiesel agroindustry has gained prominence in recent years in Brazil, generating a large volume of waste that if not properly disposed of brings great environmental impacts. These co-products due to the high protein and energy content can be used in the diet of ruminant animals, which can help reduce production costs. The production of orange juice also stands out in Brazil, and the use of citrus pulp (the orange peel) has a high content of soluble carbohydrates, mainly pectin, and can also be used in the diet of ruminants.
