An Analysis of Undergraduate Mentoring began as a master s thesis and has become The Mentoring Collaborative, a mentoring program on the campus of The University of Toledo to serve undergraduate students at the university. From the research, focus groups and surveys conducted for her thesis, The Mentoring Collaborative has grown from an initial 30 students in 2007 to near 200 now in 2010. Now pursuing a doctorate at The University of Toledo, Sheila is conducting further research on mentoring, with a dissertation focus on mentor training and assessment. Mentoring has proven to be a growing need in academia, society and the corporate world.

Sheila Doles earned her masters degrees at The University of Toledo (UT) and completed Analyzing Undergraduate Mentoring in 2006. Research brought about The Mentoring Collaborative to assist undergraduates. Now pursuing a doctorate at UT, Sheila conducts further research, with a dissertation focus on mentor training and assessment.
