Antiboitic susceptibility pattern in infected wounds of burn patients

The current study was conducted to find out the common bacteria involved in causing infections in wounds of burnt patients. In this study, total 100 patients were involved from Ayub teaching hospital, District headquarter hospital and C.M.H Abbottabad city. Males were found more affected that were 63 percent as compared to females which were 37 percent only. Mostly patients were in the age of 20 to 50 years which were found to be 68 percent followed by patient less than 20 years were 23 percent and patient more than 60 years were only 9 percent. Trunk was involved in 36 percent cases followed by lower limb involvement which was 27 percent. Upper limb and neck area was involved less commonly. Mostly patients were injured by scald burns and open fire was affecting less coomonly.56 percent of full body external area was found in 20 to 30 percent of patients which was most common category.
