Ayako Hoshino earned BA, MS and PhD degrees from the University of Tokyo in 2003, 2006, and 2009, respectively. She has also studied at the University of Edinburgh, where she received an MSc degree in 2004. She currently works at the NEC Information and Media Processing Laboratories, Japan
