Biodiversity Assessment of Two Country Walks in Malta

This book covers the ecological considerations of two country walks in the beautiful island of Malta, ranging from the natural uniqueness of its habitats and biodiversity, to the human impacts and requirements for improvement of these regions of national importance. The author delves deeply into the aspects that define these habitats, from the geographical attributes, to the specific flora and fuana that define Maltese habitats. Statistical data is also provided to satisfy the scientific scope of this in depth study and provide the reader with an objective analysis of these areas of ecological and touristic importance. Finally, recommendations are made on how to improve the ecological aspects of these walks and how better and more sustainable tourism could be carried out with the aim of accommodating both the economical demands of the region whilst maintaining high ecological standards that preserve the natural qualities of this ecosystem.
