Blueprint of Covid-19 Pandemic

This book is an initiative of B.Tech and M. Tech students from Meerut Institute ofEngineering and Technology. It is covering the concepts of COVID-19 in threechapters. The first chapter contains the origin, mode of transmission and surfacestability of SARS-CoV-2. Reservoirs of SARS like coronavirus in bats and ittransmits through several intermediate hosts to humans. The uniqueness of SARS-CoV-2 from other Coronaviruses has been covered in this chapter.The second chapter covered the diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19. Rapid andaccurate diagnosis is very important for effective treatment. SARS-CoV-2 is anRNA virus belongs to the family Coronaviridae. This chapter is covering all theavailable diagnosis methods including Nucleic-Acid Test, IsothermalAmplification Assay Imaging and Antibody test. This chapter also covered theavailable treatment regimens used for this disease.The third chapter contains Pathology, Epidemiology, Chemotherapy, andmedications of COVID-19. This chapter covered the pathophysiology of thedisease along with several symptoms and host immune response against the virus.
