Caste and Biradarism
Details
The propensity into religious activities and caste orientations are common feature of Indian society, and often it imposes substantial costs upon its practitioners. Especially in rural scenario has been found where deep rooted spirit of casteism among villagers creates a kind of tension and irrational practices (like- Biradari Bhoj). In addition, the study elaborates how Biradari Bhoj has also been building a Biradarism (brotherhood) among Yadavs with positive orientation. The book gives basic reflection on contemporary caste scenario from the standpoint of rural masses in conceptual ways.
