Centric Relation

Centric relation position is of paramount importance during occlusal rehabilitation of dentulous and edentulous patients yet most confusing in the field of dentistry. This record is considered to be most important and unavoidable step during treatment procedures and even minor mistake may lead to problems which may become irreversible and have a damaging potential for entire stomatognathic system if not corrected at early stage. There are various theories regarding its definition, record techniques, its position and significance. An effort has been done to include various definitions, techniques and critical reviews regarding centric relation.
