Comparative Study Of CKC And OKC On Female Osteoarthritic Knees

This book is a comparative study performed by a physiotherapist on 30 female subjects, suffering with osteoarthritis of knee joint. Group 1, containing 15 subjects, was provided with open kinetic chain exercises and its effect on quadriceps strength and function was recorded. Then Group 2 also containing 15 subjects, was provided with closed kinetic chain exercises. Then its effect was seen on quadriceps strength and function. Hot pack was also provided to both the groups. Hence this book explains whether closed chain exercise is more effective in treating knee oseoarthritis or open chain exercise is more effective.

The author was born in Banaras, India. She was awarded with the Masters degree in physiotherapy with specialization in orthopedics, from Institute of Applied Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2011. Presently she is working as a lecturer in SCMAT, Kanpur.This Book is her first work.Some articles by her has been published in the journals also.
