Controller Design for Solar Tracking System

In order to overcome this problem, solar tracking systems are used to increase the capability and improve the performance of the photo voltanic panel. Generally, the conventional PID controllers are used for controlling linear and negligible lag system. For controlling non-linear systems the conventional controllers do not work effectively, therefore for such systems intelligent control techniques are needed. In this book, different efficient control schemes for the solar tracking systems have been designed and comparatively analyzed. Different control schemes namely: PID, Fuzzy, NN-MPC, NARMA-L2 and ANFIS are developed for solar tracking system.

Dr. Amit Kumar Singh is currently working as an Assistant professor at NIT, Jalandhar. He did his PhD degree at IIT, Roorkee and M. Tech from NIT, Kurukshetra, with Gold Medal. He has published many papers in indexed journals and conference proceedings. His research area is Control system Application, process control and renewable energy.
