The utilization of Indigenous vegetables has been acknowledged as a temporary stop gap measure in times of food inadequacy. This book seeks to analyse the determinants of Intensity consumption of Indigenous vegetables in Wedza District in Mashonaland East, Zimbabwe. Socio economic factors which influence consumption were evaluated. It also looks further into consumption patterns and availability during and after the growing season.Recommendations have been put in place to advise policy markers during the policy formulation and implementation stage. This will drive Indigenous vegetables in a commercial domain hence increase consumption and safeguard biodiversity, increase rural income and nutrition.

Constance Nyaruwata es una gricultora que posee una licenciatura en Gestión de Empresas Agrícolas como máxima cualificación actual, con la intención de llegar más lejos en su carrera. La autora ha trabajado durante trece años como técnica de investigación agrícola en el Instituto de Investigación de Horticultura. Actualmente da clases en el Chibero College desde 2019 hasta la fecha.
