Details

Various IT enable services have emerged over last decades and today are commonly known as call centers, the BPOs, the KPOs, the LPOs and so on. The Carbon footprinting methodology has played a crucial role in encouraging companies to take the steps in Carbon Emissions measurement and management path. The GHG Protocol and ISO 14064 are the most widely used international accounting tool for measuring and managing carbon footprints. The Project details a case study of an IT company where carbon footprinting was undertaken to provide a safer and healthier work environment to all the stake holders. It is an initiative to identify Carbon Emission sources and establish the extent of Carbon Foot Print generated through these energy sources. The data analysis provided valuable insight to identify the quantum of CO2 equivalent emissions and then direct efforts to reduce the emissions.
