Dennis Banda was born in 1958 in Petauke district. Did his primary education at Mng'ona primary school and later moved to Chizongwe secondary school.He trained as a teachers at Kwame Nkrumah Teachers' College in Kabwe, Zambia. He has taught and lectured in many secondary schools and Teacher Training Colleges. Dr Banda did his masters at the University of Oslo, Norway and his PhD at Nottingham University in the UK. He is currently a lecturer in the school of Education at the University of Zambia where he lecturers in English Language teaching methods.

I did primary and secondary education at Mngona and Chizongwe respectively. I have taught and lecturered in secondary and Colleges since 1983. I hold a B.A ed, University of Zambia, Mphil University of Oslo, Norway, and PhD, Nottingham University, UK. I now lecture at Nkrumah University College, Kabwe, Zambia
