Dreamy Eyes: Creativity and Audiovisual Literacy
Details
The main purpose of the research project "Dreamy Eyes" was to develop an audiovisual artistic work co-authored and collaborated on with a group of children from the neighborhood and the EB1/JI school in São Tomé, in the city of Porto, with a view to producing a web documentary. Through a methodology of development and film appropriation, the children used different audiovisual media to communicate, represent themselves, and express themselves collectively about the contexts in which they are involved. The appropriation of technical audiovisual media and the development of skills for their handling were carried out in collaborative artistic work sessions, which aimed to transmit knowledge in an informal and extracurricular way. In this sense, the group produced fragmented documentary content that contributed to the creation and structuring of the web documentary "Olhares Sonhadores" (Dreaming Eyes).
