The work "the dynamics of dress style among Lagos youth" focuses on the dynamism that occurred in clothing among youth in Lagos. The study starts from the year of Nigeria independence when Lagos officially became the seat of government and the capital city of Nigeria, and thereby began to set the pace in terms of fashion. A clear picture of the Lagos society as per fashion is shown, and thus points to the fact that dress style (fashion) keeps recurring. What this mean is that whatever is in vogue today in the Nigerian society (especially Lagos), could be trace back to the past. So therefore the essence of History. The book also points out the traditional styles to emphasise the presence of a rich culture and tradition among the people that dominate the Nigerian society.
