Dynamics of mortality in the Kassena-Nankana District, Ghana

The content of this material has been presented in simple and concise language which can be easily grasped by non-technical readers, particularly, those without background in demography or epidemiology. Drawing on Epidemiological Transition Theory, the author presents snail-pace changing patterns of causes of death and the numbers involved. It emerges from the study that, disease patterns in the district are largely reminiscent of disease burden existed in now-developed countries prior to the twentieth century
